BIP ASIA 2021

On 2 December 2021, we have successfully co-organized a session with the Law Society of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Bar Association at the Business of IP Asia Forum 2021 (jointly organised by the HKSAR Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Design Centre), discussing on the topic of “Cross-border IP Licensing in Greater Bay Area: Opportunities and Challenges”. We were fortunate enough to be able to invite distinguished speakers such as Noletta Chiu, Sven Törringer, and Philips Wong to cover various aspects about licensing together with our Council Members Rebecca Lo and James Choi, and the session was moderated by Janet Wong, who is also our Council Member.

The Business of IP Asia Forum has always been a great success and it attracted over 10,000 IP professionals and industry leaders to attend last year. We are very happy to be taking part and contributing again this year.

Under China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025), the Greater Bay Area is to transform into an international science and technology innovation centre, while Hong Kong is to develop into an international innovation and technology hub and a regional intellectual property trading centre. We therefore took this wonderful opportunity to share more with the audience about the exciting potential of as well as risk management for IP licensing in the Greater Bay Area.
